Who is this for?

This 2 x 2 hour workshop is ideal to upskill Managers in interviewing skills best practise to increase their effectiveness and ability to identify the right candidates.

Course content

Interviewing is one of the most crucial tasks undertaken by Managers. The aim is to find and recruit an effective team member who can contribute fully to the success of the department and business. Get it wrong and the implications are time-consuming, costly and stressful.

The way to avoid costly mistakes is by having rigorous procedures in place, a robust toolkit and skilled Managers. Induction starts with a candidate’s first contact with an organisation so attracting and then keeping good people is a team effort which begins with the recruitment process.


  • Module 1 - Before the Interview (2 hours) - build a candidate profile, challenge your personal bias, clever questions, assessing the gap and action planning

  • Module 2 - During the Interview (2 hours) - assessing the gap, fine tuning your listening skills, interview architecture, curiosity is king, communication, top tips, effective decision making and action planning
