Managing Intercultural Teams

Duration

2 hours

Who is this for?

This workshop will benefit Managers and Supervisors looking to build trust, effectively run meetings, manage conflict, negotiate, give feedback and motivate intercultural team performance.

Course content

In these unprecedented times of rapid adjustment to hybrid working, many of us are managing teams who we may never meet in person and come from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Leading any team requires an understanding of team dynamics, clear communication, and effective leadership but this is especially true when it comes to managing virtual intercultural teams.

In this workshop we will uncover how culture and personality shape our worldview and complete an individual cultural profile to identify our communication and behavioural styles. We will explore the obstacles to successful intercultural team communication and discover key cultural dimensions related to values, attitudes, communication, working practices, leadership and decision making.

We will then identify how to use these tools and knowledge to select the appropriate communication approach in order to build trust, effectively run meetings, manage conflict, negotiate, give feedback and motivate intercultural team performance.
